Nandi Hills

Situated near Bangalore, Nandi Hills is a great destination to consider among nature lovers. It is a small hill station and gives a tremendous view of a large granite statue. Its pleasant weather is turning this place into a much-awaited weekend destination.
When you reach the top, you will encounter some large tropical trees of Eucalyptus and Coffee Arabica and some other varieties too. It is a place where you will fine plethora of trees and lush greenery. You are sure to find some species of birds too here.
Cubbon Park
Entry to Cubbon Park is free.
Timings are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Cubbon Park is the second name of Sri Chamarajendra Park and one of the famous places in Bangalore. The park covers an extensive area of around 300 acres with several varieties of trees and plants. It also houses few statues of some famous personalities.
It is a beautiful place full of greenery all around and shows its charisma of beauty even more in the evening while there are lights all around. So, do try and visit this place next time you plan a visit to Bangalore with either your family or friends or office colleagues. It surely will attract the individuals of every age.
Tipu Sultan’s Palace
Entry free to Tipu Sultan’s Palace is based at around Rs 15/-.
Timings are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The Palace of Tipu Sultan was summer home to Tipu Sultan. Its construction was started by Kempegowda in 15th century and finished by Tipu Sultan in 17th century. It has an Indo-Islamic structure inside with large paintings and spectacular figurines.
This fort has recently been turned into a museum and hence gained some popularity in the last few years. The fort’s insides are made up of pure teakwood and hence makes it a must architectural place to visit.
Bangalore Palace
Entry free to Bangalore Palace is around Rs 230/-.
Timings are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Chamarajendra Wadiyar constructed this palace during 1878 AD and is a historical place to see. The exteriors of the palace were designed keeping in mind the famous Windsor Castle of England. Inside the palace, it has the big wall Greek paintings and has beautiful blue tiles floor. It has a large Hall named as Durbar Hall.
There is a big ballroom which hosts some private parties.
Lalbagh Botanical Garden
Entry fee to this Garden is based at Rs 20/-.
Timings are 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.
It is one of the most applauded botanical gardens of India. The glass house situated in the garden hosts two flower shows every year on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day.
Due to the presence of large number of trees, it attracts several bird species too.
National Gallery of Modern Art
Entry fee to this Gallery is very nominal. For adults it is Rs 10/- and for Children Rs 1/-.
Timings are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This art gallery is a must visit for any art lover. It houses around 500 paintings created by some renowned artists. You can see the paintings according to the time period they were made in. The paintings depict modern art.
Bannerghatta National Park
Timings are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Entry fees depends on the package you take.
Wildlife lovers prefer to go to this national park. It has a zoo, a butterfly farm and a snake house too. You can opt for jeep safari too in the park where you can get a glimpse of the famous Royal Bengal tiger.
Vidhana Soudha
Timings are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Prior permission for entry is required.
It is a legislative assembly and its foundation stone was laid by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1951.
Chola Temples
Timings are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Chola temples were built around 1500 years ago by the rulers from the Chola Dynasty who ruled South India for a longer time. Old Someshwara temple, Lingeshwar temple, Chokkanathaswamy temple are mong the few that can be seen here.
ISKCON Temple
Entry to this temple is free.
This temple hosts many programs for youth, cultural programs and also some festivals. It is famous for its architecture. The temple has gold plated flag post and gold plated kalash shikara.
